How To Grow Amazingly Healthy Plants In Your Greenhouse For Profit Or Pleasure

Here are some tips to help you grow incredibly healthy plants in the greenhouse for profit or pleasure:

Fertilizers:

If you use cloth, it can be placed outside as well as inside the cooling and shading. In fact any shading used outside, but with an air gap between the shade and glass, will help operate its greenhouse more cheaply.

Most of growing plants need fertilizer at least twice a month. Liquid fertilizer is very popular. Some growers fertilizer diluted) or recommended% in strength and then give weekly intervals. Apply fertilizer to the soil moisture, if the soil is dry, the chemical can burn roots supply and cause a setback.

Types of plant food

There are many brands of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the market. If you prefer an organic type, I suggest fish emulsion, Ovene (a stick of concentrated form sheep manure), or liquid manure. You can prepare liquid manure, placing half bushel of cow dung in a jute bag and sleep in the middle of the bath water for 2 to 3 weeks. Dilute this "mix" with water to the color of weak tea and then applied to their greenhouse plants. If you prefer the inorganic fertilizers, choose Ra-pid-gro, Hyponex, Plant Marvel, Spoonit, or something similar.

When plants are resting, they do not need fertilizer. Lamps amaryllis haemanthus, amaryllids others, and tuberous or rhizomatous gesneriads not need fertilizer and a minimum of water during its dormant period.

A commercial fertilizer includes proper proportions of the three main plant foods nitrogen, phosphorus and phosphoric acid, and potassium chloride or potassium (N, P, K). Percentages are numbered in the package, in that order. A favorite of many producers is 5-10-5. This means that the fertilizer contains 5 percent nitrogen, 10 percent phosphorus and 5 percent of potassium chloride.

The nitrogen helps to produce strong stems and good foliage. When soil is deficient in nitrogen, the stalks are short and weak and sickly leaves turn a yellow green.

Phosphorus aids in plant tissues and seed maturation. If you are planning for the election lots of seeds, including phosphorus (superphosphate or, as is usually sold in stores seed), in your subscription. Some gardeners add super phosphate, a layer of a month, the stack.

Potash is what vitamins are plants to humans. Included in the plant diet, which helps the formation and transfer of starch. Potash huskier helps grow plants with sturdy stems and foliage, "fat" of fruits, roots and strong. It is particularly suitable for root crops and potted plants, such as amaryllis and gloxinias. If you use a 5-10-5 fertilizer, which can give your bulbous plants additional weekly drink of muriate of potash,) 1 teaspoon to a quart of water.

Shading

Learn when and how my shade plants was for me the most difficult phase of the operation greenhouse. You can purchase various shading compounds (called Garlands is preferred by many growers). Cement, liquefied with a mixture of water and linseed oil and diluted until it is just thick enough to adhere to the glass, seems to work better for me. I brush in the glass with an old broom extended by a stick attached to the hilt. This shading is for the summer, even through the hard rain, and a small amount adheres during the winter. In the spring, when I cleaned the annual greenhouse, the shading has disappeared and the glass is ready for another coat.

Another effective method is to use trellis shading that rolls up and down as porch shades. The layers of cloth snuff fixed inside the house are also useful.

Avoid linseed oil mixture in any shading intended to be used in the plastic houses. It is difficult to eliminate, because there is a chemical reaction between plastic and oil, so that the shading of "sinks" becoming part of the plastic. Properties of polyethylene plastic can be shaded with layers of cloth or cheesecloth snuff subjects within, as well as screens inside plastic slat shade or abroad.

An orchid grower places mesh strips about 6 inches above the glass for both shade and cooling. Tintados shading May mix with the paint in your home, but it is better shade of white, as it reflects more heat while allowing more light to pass through.

Since the plants you want to reach a stage marketable in minimum time, you need to pay close attention to fertilization. A regular program is necessary. Decide on dates when you fertilize the plants, and then try not to deviate from that schedule unless the weather alters the expected rate of growth of the plants.
